If you can imagine it, Korea has created a sock for it. When entering homes, traditional restaurants, or shared floor-seating spaces you are often required to take off your shoes. Thus the sock became an excellent canvas for self expression, more so in Korea than in other countries. Socks can feature anything from cute animals, popular chat network characters, and public figures to anime characters, symbols, and food packaging. Most are very cleanly illustrated, with refined graphic design for the various slogans and brand names. Some socks come in pairs with the left and right foot having different graphics that combine into one big picture.
