Meal 3: Chicken and rice
Spices: Turmeric, rosemary, cilantro
I knew from my mom's cooking that rosemary is very good with chicken. I didn't particularly like the smell of the raw spice, so I decided to balance it out with the equally strong scent of turmeric. I added cilantro to the marinade because it smelled like it would taste good with chicken. I fried everything in salted butter so I could have that flavor in there to some level as well. The combination turned out tasty even though a bit unconventional. I ate it with some Mexican rice leftovers.
