Vision: This morning I kept my eyes closed while packing up a bag for the weekend. I realized that feeling around is less about where objects are on their own and more about where things are relative to each other, including my own position relative to the light source in the room. Even with my eyes closed I could still sense where the light was coming from in the room, and I could sense when I had left one room and walked into a hallway. I even made it up and down the stairs to get some shoes. It was pretty embarrassing to be seen by other people as I teetered around with my eyes closed. It really messes with my sense of balance. I tried to fit too many things into the bag but found other pockets and got packed successfully. The 10 minutes seemed longer this time. Near the end I carried my laptop and charger over to the wall and found the outlet. Getting my charger into the outlet was pretty frustrating without sight. I also had to take the keyboard cover off of my laptop so I could feel the keys to unlock it. I finished a cup of pink lemonade and it tasted really strong when I was focusing only on the smell and taste versus the color.
